Each day I wake to put it on,
That heavy stinking uniform,
Baked with sweat I squeeze my life in,
So I can show others what’s inside this skin.
I laugh as they stare at the freak they see,
Because they really think ..that’s me.
Heck..I’m so different than they know,
They just come to watch ..my show.
I hide my feelings and my shame,
While I trick them..in the game,
I have the rules..the dice in hand,
I can serve them lies ..Oh so grand.
Someday, my heart will open wide,
Exposing my person to their chide,
But, if they’ll listen, perhaps they’ll see,
The lonely being inside of me.
